As in season five, once again we have a sad day for Fabio fans. This week, everyone's favorite Italian was eliminated for a dish he had never before made -the all-American hamburger. One would think that a combination of short ribs, chuck, and pork belly would turn out a moist and delicious burger, but something was lost in translation. The judges thought it was dry and a bit too much like meatloaf (although Jimmy Fallon's mother seemed to like it).
Chef Fabio, we'll miss your, well, Fabio-sity, your charm, your smile, and your accent. But we know we've definitely not seen the last of you!

Well, we are now at the point where sending any chef home hurts. Fabio has been great, and I will miss seeing him on the rest of this season - but I'm confident we'll continue to hear from him!
The best bit was Fabio's confessional in which he struggled with the correct pronunciation of the first vowel in burger. I will miss his self-effacing humor, but it was his time to go.
I was with Fabio last night at his restaurant, and his gracious, humble spirit just captivated the room. So lovely and of course FUNNY in person.
awww fabio's gone!!! which entirely sucks because he was easily comic relief on the show..he made everything shiny and happy..im very happy for carla (hootie hoo!) and im lookin forward to watchin her on jimmy's show....fabio and his booger-borgor-boorgur will be sorely missed but hey! its all good!! now pass the chicken pot pie!!..PS. FABIO NEEDS HIS OWN SHOW!!!!
I can't believe he's gone! I was thrilled that he was again on this show...and now he's gone.
Yes, he needs his own show but it's his quips that are so hilarious. I wait for them.
I had wanted him and Carla to be in the finals.....so....go, Carla, go.
So, Top Chef, what are you going to do next year to top this year....brilliant idea to bring back past favorites.
I would have thought that Tiffany would go because Fabio is such better TV but his burger must have been really horrible.
PS. During the episode and through to the elimination, Fabio had a very heavy 5 o'clock shadow but when he was packing his knives, he was almost clean shaven.
