I really didn't like doing the fan favorite via skype. I understand why the timing worked out that they couldn't do announce it on the reunion show, which was taped in October while the voting was still going on - but just sayin'- it was really unbearable to have to watch the not-witty repartee of andy and sjp for almost an hour - good lord! save us from this next year, please.
I know, I agree - the Skype chat was so awkward. Poor Bryan and Kevin, though I thought they handled it well. I feel bad for Bryan - I really wish he could have gotten some money out of the show, but I'm sure he's happy to have his restaurant doing so well. =)
Ugh. I didn't watch this show live; I waited for your site to do it for me. Still, just that little bit of of Andy Cohen was almost too much to stomach. That guy makes Ryan Seacrest seem like a genuine personality.
It was really weird to basically torture Bryan with that session. It's nothing when they announce fan fave with the whole cast, but to basically have a winner and loser situation? I guess they thought they were doing Bryan a favor by announcing that it was close and giving him a little air time to promote his restaurant?
I think they filmed the reunion at the same time they filmed the finale to save a bit of $, especially since all the cheftestants were present. So they probably figured that announcing the FF winner live on Andy's show would be the best solution for that particular dilemma. But midnight? I can barely keep my eyes open until 11 on most nights. :)
I've met Andy, and he's a really nice guy. Very enthusiastic about Bravo programming. But I agree that we don't need pre-announcement repartee between him and anyone, unless it happens to be during the season's reunion special.
